It was a journey whose seeds were sown during my C.A. articleship days, a journey that perhaps I am embarking off on account of the passion that was cultivated by the numerous bus trips that I had to undertake from one audit to another. Flagged off by the desire see the Indian countryside at my pace and my convenience, the major constraint at that time being the wherewithal to undertake a project of this magnitude all by myself. Till I actually drove from Mumbai to Delhi in June’12, I never realized value of the space and the solitude that such a venture can offer in today’s day and age where all around me people are crazily running after more – success, money fame – but more!

The idea to drive from Mumbai to Leh Ladakh via Srinagar germinated in December’12. A lot of planning, research culminated in a better understanding of such a strenuous trip a trip that would be testing my limited driving skills and fragile endurance which thus far has never been put to test. The excitement was palpable, the preparation never too complete.
